Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO) is looking for a highly motivated Inspector. The Inspector will perform operations associated with the inspection of laser diode products. All work takes place in a team-oriented cleanroom. Responsibilities are subject to change dependent upon your personal experience/strengths and specific needs of Cutting Edge Optronics.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of tasks related to the inspection of laser diode assembliesRead blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection procedures, and pass/fail criteriaMark items with detail, such as accept/reject statusNotify supervisors or other personnel of production problemsInspect or measure materials or products for conformance to specificationsCompare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products and materialsAdjust or clean products to correct defects found during inspectionClassify or sort products according to pass/fail status and/or other specificationsEnter product into database system based on traceable propertiesBasic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experiencExcellent fine motor skills, including the ability to handle small, fragile materials using tweezersAble to work long hours using a stereo zoom microscope or a high power microscopeComfortable wearing full cleanroom attireGood oral communication and interpersonal skillsAble to follow written operational proceduresWillingness and capability to learn new tasksPreferred Qualifications:
2-year technical associate degreeExperience with microscopesKnowledge of optics and/or electronicsIPC-A-610 certifiedSix months to one year of relevant experience and/or trainingExperience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Salary Range: $32,100.00 - $53,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
