Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Civil Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of construction projects throughout the city. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of safety and structural integrity in our rapidly developing urban landscape.

Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites, focusing on civil engineering aspects such as structural integrity, foundations, and building envelopeVerify compliance with contract documents, local building codes, and safety regulationsReview and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentationPerform quality control checks on materials and workmanshipDocument inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate recordsCoordinate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address and resolve issuesMonitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project timelinesConduct regular site visits to assess ongoing work and identify potential problemsProvide technical guidance and recommendations to improve construction processesStay updated on local building regulations and industry best practices

QualificationsDiploma in Civil Engineering or related field (required)Minimum 7 years of overall experience in civil inspection, with at least 5 years of experience in the UAEProven experience in construction supervision, particularly in high-rise and mixed-use buildingsIn-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, finishes, and building codesFamiliarity with local building regulations and construction practices in Abu DhabiStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent oral and written communication abilitiesProficiency in writing detailed inspection reportsExperience with various types of buildings, including high-rise, residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projectsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficiency in using relevant inspection tools and equipmentDetail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to quality and safetyExcellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentValid UAE driver's license and ability to travel to various construction sites
