The IG ensures that necessary enforcement and prosecution activities are undertaken. As part of this duty, the IG oversees the Financial Fraud and Abuse Investigation Division, the Background Studies Division, the Legal Division, and the Licensing Division. The IG provides strategic services and leadership to the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners, Chief of Staff, and Senior Management Team. The IG also provides high-level direction to DHS partners at the state, county, federal, and tribal levels on the conduct of fraud investigations and any related enforcement or prosecution actions. Based on the results of fraud investigations, the IG makes recommendations to DHS Assistant Commissioners on additional controls and program policy changes needed to reduce or prevent schemes to illegally appropriate agency funds. **Minimum Qualifications** **_**To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**_** Managerial Experience AND Five (5) years’ human services program experience managing licensing and/or program integrity functions, including strategic planning and directing the work of staff. Experience must demonstrate: + Develop, implement, evaluate and/or update administrative processes. + Lead development, implementation, maintenance, and communication of strategic and workforce plans. + Oversee development of divisional budgets and annual spending plans. + Utilize systems capabilities to perform division functions and generate information needed to support strategic planning. + Lead the development and preparation of legislation. + Working with regulatory and oversight programs, law enforcement agencies, investigations and/or court procedures. **Preferred Qualifications** + Juris Doctorate or Master’s degree or coursework in a field related to regulation and program integrity. + Extensive knowledge of systems and methods suitable for conducting regulatory and program integrity activities in the public sector and the ability to conceptualize, implement, and evaluate practical solutions in a programmatically complex environment. + Knowledge and understanding of the agency’s mission, activities, priorities, core values, and program objectives as they pertain to and impact licensing and program integrity responsibilities related to human services. + Knowledge of the public funding streams used by the agency to provide support programs and health care services. + Oversee the preparation of news releases and conduct interviews with media representatives as appropriate to keep the public informed as appropriate on OIG activities. + Knowledge of intergovernmental roles, authorities, and relationships with respect to budget development and administration, legislations development, and promulgation of administrative rules. + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures. **Additional Requirements** REFERENCE/BACKGROUND CHECKS – DHS will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
