Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release.

 

Duties:

 

Ensures that inspection techniques are applied to products according to product drawings, procedures, and test specifications. Performs and records complex in-process and final inspections on medical tubing. Recognizes and suggests improvements to inspection documents. Communicates potential inspection and team problems to the Inspection Supervisor. Supports/performs training for inspection certification. Assists operators to be aware of customer specifications and product requirements. Understands and uses various sampling and SPC techniques. Responsible for meeting schedules as assigned by the Inspection Supervisor. Responsible for quality level of work performed.  Seek opportunities for personal growth. Responsible for all day-to-day inspection duties including inspections, data entries, and verification responsibilities. Capable of using complex test equipment and mechanical measurement tools for inspection.  Capable of multitasking and following priorities. Works minimally with engineering and production personnel in troubleshooting and defining inspection criteria.

 

What your background should look like:

Cross-trained on multiple inspection processes and products, including prototypes, RMAs, and first articles. High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1 or more years of inspections experience. Understands the use of complex mechanical test equipment and mechanical measurement tools. Experience with various measurement devices (caliper, multimeter, micrometer, etc). Experienced in problem solving pertaining to products and processes. Knowledge of sampling and Statistical Process Control Techniques. Understands and follows standard procedures. Basic computer skills including SAP, QP3, and MS Word and Excel. Ability to work in a manufacturing warehouse environment, which may include:  generally light physical exertion, sit or stand for long periods of time, repetitive movement, must wear safety glasses, meet shop floor requirements and potential exposure to plastic fumes, heat generating equipment, and mechanical inspection equipment.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $37,800 – 56,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
