Inspector - Level 3 (FAA) - Day Shift
As an Inspector Level 3 (FAA) here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of repair and overhaul operations. You will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating the work performed on aircraft components and systems to ensure they meet the required standards. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to safety will be essential in achieving success in this role. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of repair and overhaul operations, ensuring that all work meets the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities + Perform inspections + Test parts and raw material + Monitor and verify quality + Recommend improvements + Conform to specifications + Record observations + Audit quality control programs + Develop specs and procedures + Improve quality practices Shift: Day shift (5:30am – 2:30pm) U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status. FAA Requirements All applicants for placement in DOT/FAA safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test, testing for Marijuana, Cocaine, Amphetamines (amphetamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, MDA), Phencyclidine (PCP), and Opioids (codeine, heroin, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone). The DOT/FAA regulations require all employees, regular and temporary, in safety-sensitive positions, to be included in the Honeywell Anti-drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan YOU MUST HAVE + Eighteen (18) months of repair and overhaul; line maintenance experience or other applicable experience (Example: Experience gained serving in one of the military branches, holding a Repairman Certificate at a licensed FAA Repair Station, or a licensed FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic) + Knowledgeable of mechanical and electronic components/assemblies. WE VALUE + Knowledge of labeling requirements + High school diploma or equivalent + Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures in quality control inspection field + Good analytical and creative problem-solving skill + Ability to use tools and techniques to perform tests + Ability to lift up to 30 pounds + Proactively and clearly communicate important, comprehensive, and specific information that others need + Ability to read technical data and specifications + An A&P License + Previous experience as FAA designee or experience as a commercial/military inspector or experience as an FAA inspector. + 6 months of experience working within the PC holder’s quality Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
