Qualification:
- API 510 certificate, API 570 certificate, API 653 and CSWIP 3.1
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Discipline
- The candidate shall be fully familiar with construction drawings, isometric and P. & IDs.
- The candidate shall be computer literate and familiar with MS Word and Excel.
- The candidate shall be able to work under own initiative. The work entails a high percentage of time on site.
Experience:
- The candidate shall have minimum ten (10) years experience in the oil and gas related business for Diploma holders / five (5) years for Bachelor of Engineering.
- Hold Valid API certification for a minimum of three (3) years after certifications.
- The candidate shall have proven experience of in-service inspection on oil/gas process facilities.
- The candidate shall be familiar with all aspects of pressure relieving devices, conventional and “in service” NDT techniques.
- The candidate shall have the ability to pass Permit to Work system.
- The candidate shall be familiar with NDT techniques and valid level- II NDT certificates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To conduct piping, relief valve, plant and equipment inspection as directed on the Onshore facilities.
- To produce rough site isometric sketches of pipelines highlighting inspection points, problematic locations, extent of scaffold access and insulation removal requirements.
- To carry out visual surveys on Static Equipment, Pipelines, Tanks, piping systems to determine the condition of individual Static Equipment, Tanks pipelines and piping. The visual survey shall determine the exposed pipe/fitting/support condition and determine insulation removal, scaffolding and Non-destructive testing (NDT) requirement to assist in condition assessment.
- To produce an individual line condition report.
- To highlight areas of concern to Piping Inspector for rejection report generation.
- To carry out detailed visual inspection of plant and equipment using suitable visual aids as may be required.
- To provide concise, accurate technical reports on equipment inspected.
- To report to assigned Inspection Engineer.
- To liaise with NDT Technicians for report review and interpreting results.
- To update all reports in APMS RMI system and submit for approval.
- Candidate shall have the ability to pass Permit to Work system and Consolidated Permit to Work system.
