Inspector
Our Client:
Our client is a leading aerospace and defense contractor. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in Archbald, PA and is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last approximately 11 Month . This role is on-site, so you should be comfortable commuting to Archbald, PA. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
Position Overview:
Performs manual and clerical duties involved in receiving materials, supplies and equipment. Normally utilizes computers to enter transactions, validate information and maintain database. Within prescribed limits unpacks and examines items received and verifies completeness against bills of lading, invoices, and other records; keeps records of goods received; rejects damaged, excess, or misdirected goods and processes necessary paperwork to notify appropriate purchasing, material, vendor, and other concerned organizational personnel. Routes materials to inspection, stores, or other destinations; and may operate mobile equipment used to move materials. Answers inquiries concerning status of rejected or other goods.Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspecting Goods:
Perform manual and clerical duties involved in receiving materials, supplies, and equipment.Unpack and examine items received to verify completeness and condition against bills of lading, invoices, and other records.Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Utilize computers to enter transactions, validate information, and maintain an accurate database of received goods.Keep detailed records of all goods received, including quantities and conditions.Quality Control:
Reject damaged, excess, or misdirected goods and process the necessary paperwork to notify relevant personnel (purchasing, materials, vendors, etc.).Route materials to inspection, storage, or other designated destinations based on established procedures.Communication and Inquiry Handling:
Answer inquiries regarding the status of rejected or other goods, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.Operation of Mobile Equipment:
Operate mobile equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed to move materials efficiently within the facility.Collaboration with Team Members:
Work closely with purchasing, inventory management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues related to received goods.Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to safety protocols and organizational policies while handling materials and operating equipment.Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Inspection Manufacturing settingPrecious Manufacturing experienceHigh School Diploma (no Bachelor's degree required)Computer literacy (all work completed on computer for this role)Desired Qualifications:
