Engineering Manager I

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is: onsiteThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Business.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tWork as part of an integrated design team to meet project requirements and deliverables •\tAssist in designing installation plans and site work packages•\tReview 3rd party vendor equipment submittals to align with contract drawings, technical spec and IO database•\tReview contract drawings, P&IDs, IO databases, and site electrical drawings•\tAssist in generation of markups, loop drawings, termination drawings, and review check prints•\tDocumentation and delivery of proper forms confirming system completion and conformity with established quality documents

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or related fields in the United States. \tKnowledge of Microsoft, CAD, and electrical drawings \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future. \tUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions\tEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines\tDemonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality\tCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
