Job Summary
OPEX Corporation is currently hiring an Installation Manager responsible for managing the client and product support at a high level.
The Installation Manager will be involved in all stages of the installation and integration of large, automated material-handling equipment, providing continuity for the onsite customer, from the initial site survey through integration and handoff to the field service department. In addition, this person coordinates with the Installation foremen and project coordinator to provide the labor and any additional support required throughout the installation, commissioning, integration, and production. This position does require travel to installation sites across North America.
Responsibilities
Oversee the installation, product integration, and client relationship Develop strategies to streamline the project processes and reduce cost Manager long term deliverables of physical installations of machinery, including the realization of project milestones and meeting contractual commitments Responsible for the distribution of active project material, installation support equipment, and installation personal Accountable for the development and performance management of Site Foreman and installers as well as third party support personal Responsible for product acceptance, workflow optimization, installation planning, and logistical support Ensuring a consistently high level of service and quality in all aspects of logistics activities Will manage short and long-term planning and priority strategies Resolve any arising problems or complaints related to active projects or communicate the issue to the next management level Will travel to customer installation sites across North America Ability to lead remote teams of up to 10-12 employeesRequirements & Qualifications
Self-motivated with strong influencing skills Strong Relationship builder and excellent at the cross-functional day to day interaction or project work Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Technical understanding of material handling equipment installations and a substantial project management skills set Electromechanical experience is preferred Must have proven leadership abilities with previous experience in a managerial role 5+ years of management experience are preferred Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required Must have direct prior experience with administration and management of remote teams Proven ability to deliver projects within constraints of schedules and budgets is required Must be able to travel for extended periodsPhysical/Work Environment
