DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Installation Police Officer, you will provide police services and protection to employees, the public, property, facilities, and grounds. You will patrol buildings and grounds by foot or by vehicle, investigate accidents, respond to calls for assistance, and determine the nature of reported emergencies. You will exercise the duties of a sworn police officer by e nforcing laws, rules, and regulations through warning, citation, and arrest. In addition, you will d irect traffic at public events and at vehicle accident sites, o perate patrol vehicles and communications network equipment, a dminister first-aid treatment when other emergency personnel are not present, and participate in training programs to maintain essential job knowledge. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + Successful completion of the Municipal Police Officers’ Education and Training Commission Certified Basic Police Academy (Act 120) training.
