Installation Technician
Description Security Installation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various security systems, including alarms, surveillance cameras, and access control systems. Here are some key duties and responsibilities typically associated with this role: Duties and Responsibilities: + Installation: Install and configure security systems such as intrusion alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and intercoms. Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for system components. + Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot system issues, and carry out necessary repairs. Ensure all systems are functioning correctly and efficiently. + System Testing: Test and adjust system components to ensure they are working properly. Conduct quality assurance inspections on installations. + Customer Support: Provide training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of security systems. Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system malfunctions. + Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repair activities. Prepare service reports and documentation as required Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of High School Diploma / Vocational Training. Must have a mastery knowledge of trouble shooting commercial intrusion systems; fire is also needed for this position. Must have a working knowledge to full understanding of local / national codes. Must have a mastery knowledge of test equipment, such as multimeters, battery analyzers and decibel meters. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to clear a drug screening. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
