Installations Aerodynamic Engineer

As an Installations Aerodynamic Engineer for Rolls-Royce, you’ll work with our Civil and Defense customers to deliver inlet and exhaust system aero flow path lines, whilst also overseeing prototype development, testing, and reporting.

Key Accountabilities:
Defining requirements for aerodynamic components, systems, and test rigsAbility to perform CFD modelling on complex exhaust system components and/or sub-systemsDefining inlet and exhaust systems to be tested in a lab environment and integrated into a product systemsCreating performance maps for components to be integrated into cycle decksCommunicating with engineers fabricating the systems to ensure the function of systemsCreating pressure and temperature maps of near wall air flows for thermal and mechanical analysis boundary conditionsBasic: Requirements:
Associate’s degree with 3+ years of experience in aerodynamics, ORBachelor’s degree with 1+ years of experience in aerodynamics, ORA Master’s degree or JD/PhDTo be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearancePreferred: Requirements:
Propulsion system integration, design and build experienceSurvivability design and technology development experienceExperience with risk analysis toolsPioneer the next generation of innovation.
