Institutional Research Analyst (aHEO) **POSITION DETAILS** Reporting to the Executive Director of Institutional Research, the Institutional Research Analyst will help ensure the quality, integrity, and timeliness of information and reports disseminated by the Office of Institutional Research. The Institutional Research Analyst will be primarily responsible for data management, data analytics, and data visualization. The Institutional Research Analyst will also maintain the IR data warehouse, collaborating with the CCNY Office of Information Technology as needed. + Maintain and query data in the IR data warehouse + Download, merge, manipulate, analyze, and report on large amounts of complex data from various campus and departmental sources + Perform a variety of duties related to ensuring data integrity including data cleaning, documentation, audits, and quality control processes + Develop tables, charts, and visualizations using Tableau and other methods to present information that highlight primary metrics and findings + Work with the Executive Director and other members of the IR Team to ensure that all stakeholders’ (internal and/or external) data needs are met on schedule, and that the information provided is meaningful, useful, and accurate + Protect the privacy and security of data, ensuring compliance with FERPA and other regulations + Performs other duties of a similar nature or level **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar programming languages • Experience with database utilization (e.g., querying, extraction, manipulation) in a data warehouse environment • Experience in data collection, interpretation, and reporting in a higher education or similar setting • Strong analytical, organizational, and data communication skills • Experience creating and maintaining dashboards using Tableau • Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 suite (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.) **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Assists with Institutional Research projects, data, and reports. - Coordinates the design and maintenance of Institutional Research databases. - Works with large complex data sets, including exporting/importing from various sources, cleaning data files, and maintaining historical records. - Assists with the design, production and administration of survey instruments, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. - Prepares and runs reports for internal and external constituents. - Works with others in the College community to assure high-quality information and reporting. - Performs related duties as assigned.
