Posting Number: 20244207S Position Title: Instructional Coordinator Position Type: Staff Location: Villanova, PA Recruitment Type: Internal/External Applicants Work Schedule: full-time/12-months Avg Hours Week Department: 576-Dean, Professional Studies Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment, the Instructional Coordinator will play an essential role in the operations of the College of Professional Studies. In this primarily faculty-facing position, tasks will include course scheduling, supporting faculty, and ensuring that faculty have appropriate course materials.

Duties and Responsibilities: Course Scheduling: Under the supervision of the Director of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment, coordinate the assignment of academic faculty to both credit-bearing and non-credit-bearing courses, ensuring optimal use of resources and alignment with institutional goals. Send teaching requests, including assigned course times, to faculty and carefully document responses. Notify Director of Teaching, Learning and Assessment of any potential staffing shortages well in advance of the beginning of the term. Notify faculty when courses are canceled or rescheduled. Liaise with academic department leadership in other colleges for credit-bearing courses needed for CPS degree and credit-bearing certificate programs.


Collaboration with CPS and University Offices: Work in close coordination with the Registrar’s office to ensure that course information is accurate in University systems such as Novasis and Banner. Collaborate with Assistant Director of Instructional Support and Office of Online Programs to be sure that scheduling information is accurate in LMS. Collaborate with CPS Finance and Administration team to process payroll accurately.
Faculty and Staff Support: Provide support to faculty and staff as needed, addressing their needs and facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
Project Tracking: Monitor and track the progress of various instructional projects to ensure timely completion. Assist with proliferating training and policy documents to ensure adherence to academic standards. Assist with scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and other project documentation as needed.
Course materials: Ensure that faculty have textbooks and other course materials such as access codes to learning platforms and e-textbooks, especially when a faculty member is teaching a course for the first time or a new edition of a textbook has been released.
Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.Assist with College events periodically as needed Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Bachelor’s Degree

Self-directed: Ability to work independently while also being open to feedback and direction from colleagues and supervisor. Supportive: Ability to provide robust support to faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
