The Content and Design team is responsible for various transformative projects in partnership with the training delivery team. The Instructional Designer will embrace this exciting opportunity to lead change to the way in which we promote learning. He or she will help define new standards and strategies to promote learning using current technologies to increase a self-paced environment. The ID will consult with training and business partners on the design, development, execution, and measurement of learning programs to support our internal operations business partners. The ID will be responsible for designing interactive instructor-led and online learning programs while ensuring high-quality, innovative, and effective learning programs. The ID keeps abreast of various design strategies, with emphasis in Online Learning, both synchronous and asynchronous.
Primary Responsibilities:
Apply principles of adult learning and training best practices to create effective and innovative training design solutions Develop appropriate learning activities based on training designs and learning objectives Demonstrate and apply knowledge of appropriate instructional design tools and resources used to develop training content Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soRequired Qualifications:
3 - 5 years of experience working in an Instructional Designer role (illustration / UX/UI) Experience designing Web-based training in a corporate environment Working experience in LMS and LXPs Working experience or familiarity with Oracle HCM functionality and similar HRMS Knowledge of scripting of systems and other technical training content Proven ability to develop training assets in a mixed media format (job aids, eLearning, videos, ILT, system training, scenarios, games, and in-app point of need guidance instructions etc.) Proven excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities Demonstrates effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills and drives for results individually and in a team setting
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience in developing online learning using tools such as Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360, Vyond, Canva and others Working experience with LMS and LXPs Working experience or familiarity with Oracle HCM functionality and similar HRMS Knowledge of scripting of systems and other technical training content Ability to write scripts/talking points for learning activities (e.g., trainer, audio, video, case studies) Ability to write supporting materials for learning activities (e.g., agendas, schedules, quick reference guides, handouts, job aids, trainer/learner guides, audio/visual aids) Ability to draft, revise, and finalize all training assets identified in the curriculum Ability to develop training assets in a mixed media format (job aids, eLearning, videos, ILT, system training, scenarios, games, and in-app point of need guidance instructions etc.) Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken
Process Specific Skills:
Good knowledge of basic ID principles such as ADDIE, Bloom’s taxonomy, Adult Learning Principles, Gagne’s 9 events etc. Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving and fact-based decision-making abilities Awareness of gamification frameworks for adult learning
Soft Skills:
Good written and spoken communication skills Time management and multitasking skills Highly motivated Creative bent of mind Attention to detail
