Instructional Designer

SUMMARY

This position requires the individual to be familiar with basic programming tools and possess a firm knowledge of learning software. This individual is in charge of integrating instructional media into our training platform, with the ability to work with design software, and possesses a superb knowledge of the English language.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with subject matter experts and trainers to identify the customer’s training needs Deliver instructional content that meets our customer’s needs Design learning activities and exercises Apply learning methods and educational models in practice Assess the learning process and design a grading system Draw up assessments and tests Construct and update training environments for the Hands-On Training System Manage and coordinate updated schedules for training materials Communicate regularly with business analysts, developers, trainers, as well as other writers to ensure that content is accurate and effective Create instructional graphics that help customers understand complex ideas Perform content review of other writers’ documentation

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

BS, MA degree or certification in instructional design, educational technology, or similar   Five (3-5) years of experience in instructional design with instructional technology   Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills (English) Thorough knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models across multiple modalities  Visual design skills and ability to storyboard   Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts   Ability to plan and manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously  Must be willing to in a fixed night shift schedule Must be willing to work on site for 3 months and Hybrid set-up after

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Lesson and curriculum planning skills   Basic HTML and flash programming knowledge   Practical knowledge of various course-authoring software and learning management systems
