Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer is responsible for the assessment, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of classroom/online, and web-based course content provided to meet the growing needs of Tungsten Automation’s training audiences. The appropriate individual will be responsible for creating and implementing a robust, innovative, engaging, and impactful content and training materials. Working together with a team of subject matter experts and business partners, the Instructional Designer will manage multiple projects autonomously to take training objectives from concept to implementation. The Instructional Designer will work with multiple geographical cultures across numerous product lines to create and manage a standardized approach to the creation, delivery and management of Tungsten Automation product training around the globe.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Architecting technical training curricula for enterprise software solutions

·         Assessing training needs, designing courses utilizing adult learning principles, developing materials, implementing new courses, and evaluating effectiveness

·         Work with subject matter experts (SMEs), business owners, and stakeholders to transform expert knowledge into effective classroom, online and blended learning solutions

·         Evaluate, repurpose, and rearchitect existing training content and materials into sound self-administered, self-paced learning modules

·         Develop and manage project plans and timelines

·         Develop multiple forms of training materials, such as course outlines, PowerPoint presentations, facilitator guides, student and exercise guides, handouts, online simulation exercises, video tutorials, and eLearning courses

·         Record, edit and produce high-quality video content

·         Leverage feedback received through evaluations, word of mouth and directives from the business, to continue to improve all aspects of the training development program

·         Autonomously drive self-development to stay current on industry best practices, standards, and innovative Instructional Design tools & techniques

·         Support an internal quality assurance (QA) program for Learning and Development (L&D) team to maintain program standards and deliver quality output

·         Work with management to determine the impact of training by staying connected with business partners, continually assessing feedback through evaluations, and peers

·         Challenge the Learning & Development team to think of new ways to elevate our brand standards and approach training in meaningful, innovative and impactful ways

·         Follow curriculum development process and templates to support the identification of delivery method and learning objectives.

·         Continually evaluate new tools and methods to support streamlined development processes, as directed.
