Job Summary:
Responsible for managing curriculum, module and training programs assigned.  Evaluate and recommend training solutions by applying adult learning theory.  Use instructional design theories and practices to develop engaging course content and activities that help AmeriGas employees learn and develop skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create project plan and recommendation for training projects, including but not limited to timeline, project milestones, methodologies, audience, resources, and review process. Identify learning objectives and evaluate effectiveness of training method to objectives throughout and after project. Develops and designs ILT, VILT, and eLearning curriculum and modules, teaching manuals, student guides, and other support materials. Create immersive educational experiences for the audience through learning activities, assignments, and assessments. Writes scripts for video and audio content. Create storyboards, style guides, and templates for training programs. Evaluate courses and new virtual learning environments, tools, and materials to determine what changes need to be made. Ensuring that learning materials are accessible to screen readers, including adding closed captioning and considering color and font size. Collaborate with subject matter experts and peers to develop training content. Edit and maintain eLearning modules. Test and import modules into LMS platform.  Work with global LMS Admin to troubleshoot eLearning modules issues.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

In-depth knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design (ADDIE). Familiarity with Learning Management Systems – SAP SuccessFactors a plus. Applying good visual design to learning materials, including accessibility. Proficient in Microsoft tools, including PowerPoint. Project management/organizational skills. 

 

Education and Experience: 

A degree in instructional design, education, or a related field. 3 - 5 years of similar experience. In-depth experience with Articulate 360 (storyline and rise). Experience applying ID Theory – identify learning objectives, create engaging and effective instructional materials, etc.
