Are you looking for an opportunity to own work that challenges and makes a difference in helping our people achieve their personal and professional learning and development goals? PitchBook’s Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing engaging, measurable learning solutions to improve individual and team performance. This role partners closely with learning program managers who own the end-to-end development and delivery of learning programs and curricula. Together, instructional designers and learning program managers work with key business stakeholders to develop innovative and high-quality learning programs and initiatives aligned with PitchBook’s strategic goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

\n\nApply adult learning theory to design and build learning solutions and experiences   \nDesign and develop instructionally sound learning solutions and experiences   \nConsult and collaborate with learning program managers and business stakeholders/SMEs to define options for learning solution design \nPartner with learning program managers to conduct training needs analysis to inform performance objectives, instructional strategies, and project scope   \nOwn and project manage the design, develop, and test phases for learning assets and evaluation instruments \nLeverage creative, immersive learning methodologies and mixed modalities in learning experience/product design and development  \nCollaborate with other instructional designers, media specialists, learning technology, and subject matter experts to dynamically create learning solutions  \nAnalyze quality and operations metrics/KPIs to identify the root causes of performance opportunities  \nIdentify and apply appropriate evaluation techniques (summative, formative, four levels, and usability testing)   \nPartner with other teams to monitor completion, comprehension, and retention of the content to identify training effectiveness and improvement opportunities   \nBuild effective working relationships, including communicating effectively with partners and stakeholders \nDemonstrate good judgment and analytical problem-solving methods  \nLearn multiple systems and processes quickly   \nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors \nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested \nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors \nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested \n\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required \n3+ years previous experience in instructional design \nAbility to analyze and logically organize complex information into instructionally sound training materials that excite and engage learners   \nDemonstrated capability with eLearning software such as Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia, and similar authoring tools and platforms for creating rapid animation or graphic-rich design \nDemonstrated experience with presentation and graphics tools (PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva)   \nDemonstrated design expertise across a broad range of learning modalities focused on adult learners \nDemonstrated ability to run multiple, complex projects, strong project management, and ability to multi-task and continually prioritize changing projects tasks and deliverables   \nExcellent grammar and writing proficiency for global English  \nExcellent interpersonal skills, including both written and oral communication skills   \nCreative thinker and self-starter, with a proactive approach to resolving problems and issues  \nDemonstrated attention to detail and an overall focus on the design of high-quality learning experiences  \nBrings a customer service mentality to the work  \nWorks well independently and as part of teams  \nEager to learn, grow, and build skills, while working in a fast-paced environment  \nLearning Management System (LMS) experience, specifically Cornerstone, is a plus  \nProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily \n\n

Compensation

\n\nAnnual base salary: $90,000-$105,000\nTarget annual bonus percentage: 10%\n\n

*Starting pay will be based on several factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be different ranges for candidates by location. 

\n

Working Conditions:

\n

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 3+ days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

\n

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
