Chronos Operations (CO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation based in Anchorage, AK. The **Instructional Designer** is responsible for deploying learning assets by ensuring that learning assets are appropriately configured and available to users through DAU’s learning delivery platforms.
**Responsibilities**
+ Utilize, manage, and maintain DAU’s eLearning Asset Upload (eLAU Tool), an MS SharePoint-based capability, to coordinate and track learning asset deployments with DAU personnel engaged in learning asset development.
+ Ensure OLT assets are configured and available to learners via Cornerstone on Demand and in accordance with approved design and customized functional elements based on the uniqueness/delivery parameters of each asset. For example, an asset may take advantage of CSOD’s test-out capabilities, while another may require learners to complete all course materials.
+ Ensure the exams associated with OLTs are configured in CSOD; and ensure that the MS Word Exam Template that is relied on by learning asset development teams remains current with CSOD data input specifications and configuration requirements.
+ Deploy credentials in CSOD and ensure appropriate configuration so that the learner experience comports to the established credential design.
+ Conduct any required pre-deployment activities including but not limited to:
+ Creating print files
+ Creating Maintenance and Revision versions of learning assets that are undergoing updates
+ Initiating Archive activities, as applicable
+ Packaging for deployment (e.g., SCORM)
+ Provide support services for hosted assets DAU accepts from outside organizations and makes available to the acquisition workforce within DAU’s systems and platforms. These assets are SCORM-conformant OLTs that will be deployed through Cornerstone on Demand.
+ Conduct a limited review sufficient to establish technical conformance with the appropriate learning delivery platform and to establish Section 508 conformance.
+ Communicate with external parties, as directed by DAU, to share technical parameters required by DAU’s learning platforms and to explain findings from the limited IV&V.
+ Deploy hosted assets.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
+ Experience may be used in lieu of education requirements.
+ 2+ months of experience in learning asset deployment.
+ Must have experience with the eLearning Asset Upload tool.
+ Must be able to pass a background check with a favorable NAC.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that include the ability to interact with a wide variety of key stakeholders to ensure timely responses for all communications and deliverables across all projects.
+ Superb planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
+ Results-driven with a positive attitude and a high degree of initiative and responsiveness.
+ Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and attend to details while staying focused on key priorities and management.
+ Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
+ Ability to travel up to 10%.
