1-800-GOT-JUNK? is looking for an Instructional Designer to join our growing team!
As part of the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Learning & Development Team, you will play an integral role in the design, development, and continuous improvement of the learning & development processes and programs for the 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise system across Canada, USA, and Australia.

Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.
A Day in the Life:
Partner with our brand leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop and support the delivery of franchise-facing learning and development programs that align with organizational goals and enhance employee performance Design and develop best-in-class instructional materials, including presentations, training manuals, e-learning modules and other multimedia resources, to support various learning initiatives Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the business to analyze training and development needs and design targeted training solutions Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback to measure learning outcomes and make necessary improvements. Partner with the Franchise Operations team to research, identify and communicate new learning solutions to address existing gaps in the franchise system Collaborate with project management support to identify, meet, and communicate project milestones. As needed, support the training facilitation team by facilitating virtual or in-person training sessions, webinars and workshops Administers the learning management system (LMS), ensuring course content is up to date, managing user access and tracking training completionWhat you Bring to the table:
3+ years of Learning & Development success in assessment, design, development and delivery of learning solutions A bachelor’s degree and/or professional designation and/or technical certification in instructional design, adult education, learning technology or related field. Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills for working with individuals at all levels within the organization Capable of offering creative instructional designs for a blended learning environment incorporating both synchronous and asynchronous options 2+ years of experience in e-learning design using authoring tools, such as, Articulate Storyline 360 Proficient experience with screen capture software, such as, Camtasia Proactive, self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently and virtually with minimal guidance. Strong attention to detail. Ability to deal with ambiguity, and proactively address change in direction and friction points Comfortable getting work done through others by collaboration and influence in order to achieve shared objectivesCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary $55,000 to $73,000 per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity). The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Dental.
