Instructional Designer

Position Summary: The Instructional Designer is responsible for designing and developing effective training materials that enhance learning and performance outcomes across various formats. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to create engaging content, aligning learning objectives with business goals, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of materials. The Instructional Designer will work on creating instructor-led courses, eLearning modules, job aids, and assessments, while also adhering to internal standards and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and develop training course materials, including instructor-led, computer-based, job aids, and assessments, utilizing instructional design techniques in alignment with adult learning theory.Align learning objectives with business goals and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of training materials.Create detailed outlines, storyboards, and scripts, and clearly communicate design ideas and next steps throughout the design and development process.Collaborate with stakeholders to determine the most effective delivery methods and create realistic timelines for course delivery.Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures in the design and development of training materials.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise instructional content.Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design for various delivery methods, including instructor-led training, eLearning, mobile learning, and performance support tools.Proficient in creating engaging and interactive learning experiences that capture and sustain learner attention.Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, offer and receive feedback, and creatively address challenges.Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office, Articulate Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other instructional design software.Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
