Job Title: Instructional Designer
Job Description

The Instructional Designer (ISD) will design and develop engaging, process-based training courses based on a role-based training curriculum. The ISD will utilize the ADDIE principles of instructional design to perform the appropriate analysis, design, develop and deliver courses for a multi-product implementation. The products included in the implementation, and that require training, include, but are not limited to, Bullhorn, PeopleSoft, Salesforce Lightning, and Oracle Fusion.

ResponsibilitiesWork with the Implementation Training Lead and Professional Development Leads to ensure training programs support business drivers, objectives, and motivators aligned to the purpose, values, and goals of our organization.Work cross-collaboratively within Professional Development Teams, product and process SMEs, and business partners to build relationships, perform needs analysis, identify process gaps, define appropriate training solutions, and coordinate content reviews as needed.Evaluate process workflows, existing training materials per audience, and other implementation artifacts to identify appropriate material to incorporate into the training materials and conduct additional research to fill in any content gaps.Identify the appropriate learning solution(s) that satisfy the needs of a diverse set of learners (e.g., webinars, interactive modules, videos, online courses, reference guides, job aids, learning paths, and plans).Utilize instructional design principles to create an immersive, memorable learning experience that engages learners and enables them to execute the steps to successfully utilize the new software and new business processes.Structure and organize content in a way that is easy to process and engage the learner with writing, storytelling, scenarios, layout, imagery, feedback, self-discovery, and activities that are applicable to the learner’s real world.Identify the appropriate approach to stage the training database to effectively reinforce the designed training program(s) and execute the staging of the database as required.Effectively express ideas and thoughts verbally and visually to match the audience and delivery method. Deliverables must be clear, concise, and grammatically correct.Recommend appropriate in-app guidance solutions and create content in the in-app guidance product, such as WalkMe.Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and peers on effective and innovative learning strategies to achieve business goals.Organize, prioritize, coordinate, and implement multiple projects within established timelines.Manage all aspects of assigned projects. Regularly communicate with the Program Manager and stakeholders to define and review deliverables, provide updates on project status, manage changes in scope, and escalate challenges.Produce high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Produce high-quality training materials (e.g., training manuals, job aids, videos, etc.) in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.Create assessment methods that foster the learner’s development by providing opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of the learning goals.Give, accept, and provide constructive feedback.Essential SkillsMinimum 5+ years in Instructional Design, Training and Development, Organizational Development, or related fieldExperience in Articulate Story Line & RiseExperience in FusionExperience creating training that incorporates process, systems, and hands-on exercisesExperience working in a fast-paced team environmentExperience designing technical or system training for enterprise-wide technology implementations, with experience creating training content in at least one enterprise-wide technology implementationExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Movavi or similar video recording tool, and screen grab techniques and softwareAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in an Agile Development framework is preferred, but not requiredPreferred BA Degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related discipline, but not requiredExperience creating content in an in-app guidance tool, such as WalkMe, is preferred but not requiredExperience with Degreed or other LMS software preferred, but not requiredExperience using Salesforce Lightning is preferred, but not requiredWork Environment

Fully remote position with required working hours in EST or CST time zones.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00
