Primary Function

Design, develop and deliver training programs, instruction, and manuals for all aspects of the business for both new and existing employees. Assist with development of training objectives such as enhancing business performance, support new training initiatives and leadership development.

Candidate should have strong content knowledge, experience in presentation and knowledge of instructional design that is results driven. Ability to assist in developing and writing innovative and interactive learning content to meet business objectives in both classroom, virtual and eLearning environments.

Principal Duties

Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transferWork with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needsState instructional end goals and create content that matches themVisualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished productConduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contextsApply tested instructional design theories, practice and methodsProvide exercises and activities that enhance the learning processCreate supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instrumentsMaintain project documentation and course foldersPerforms related duties as assigned by supervisor

Education and Experience Requirements  

Four-year college degree preferred with certification or related course work demonstrating proficiency in writing or instructional/interactive design technology a plusExperience with conceptual and instructional design methods and specifically with delivering existing materials and developing new learning content. Previous facilitation experience requiredExperience in designing curricula in a financial services environmentExperience with eLearning Authoring Software such as Captivate, Articulate or other authoring tools requiredEditing and publishing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements  

Demonstrated verbal, written, organizational, and presentation skills requiredOrganized and detail-orientedStrong oral and written communication skillsPC experience, MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPointLesson and curriculum planning skillsAbility to organize, prioritize, adapt to changing business needs, and to work independently as well as part of a teamComfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities and meet goals and deadlines.
