Instructional Systems Designer

The NISC IV group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Intructional Systems Designer to work in our Oklahoma City, OK office.  This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Policy and Administration group.

The successful candidate follows established Federal Aviation Administration academy process and supervisory instructions for product deliverables. To ensure effective collaboration and accuracy of expectations, the contractor and the program office will align projects’ timelines, milestones, and schedules during sprint planning. Regular sprint planning sessions will be conducted to review and adjust project milestones based on evolving requirements, resource availability, and other project dependencies. This iterative approach to milestone management will allow for flexibility and adaptation, ultimately leading to more efficient and successful project execution. The program office will be actively engaged in these planning sessions to provide input, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions to maintain project alignment with broader organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver a detailed Project Schedule Plan that includes at a minimum for each deliverable, general project requirements, and milestones. • Develop a plan and strategy for creating micro-learning training videos and role-based training courses that align with training objectives to meet the target audienceBe updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in multimedia production to Statement of Objectives (SOO) Policy & Administration Branch (ASP-110) enhance the quality and effectiveness of training videos continually.Collect feedback from training video viewers and stakeholders, analyze performance metrics, and use insights to improve future video productions and training initiatives.Produce and edit videos, assembling text, audio, voiceover, music, video, graphics, and animation for use in presentations and learning materials. Maintain, populate, and tag the media repository with media created, provided, and collected from relevant sources.Create or integrate visual graphics, illustrations, graphs, images, animations, visual effects, and interactive multimedia from storyboards using Adobe Systems software, including the Creative SuiteCreate a Course Design Guide based on approved content/formation provided by the ASP-110 Program Manager for this project.Courseware must be free of elements that could harm the secure operation of the resource operating system. This includes malicious code, trojans, worms, logic bombs, and other computer viruses; backdoors; adware, spyware, or web bugs that can track user behavior; proprietary software; software that will not function properly with the securely configured operating system; and code that enables functions beyond the intended application capability.Assign the copyright in all training materials developed under this contract to the Government, per AMS Clause 3.5-16 "Rights in Data - Special Works." All contractor-developed materials of intellectual property developed under this task order will be considered government property.Develop all text, graphic, and multimedia components that comprise eLearning courseware to be compliant with Section 508 standards and SCORM requirements.Draft and final training design and storyboards that demonstrate interface design and layout, navigation, animations, and applicable video/audio segments to be included in the final courseware.Create course materials, including user/participant guides, support materials, instructor guides, reference materials, handouts/technical exhibits, presentation slides, and lesson plans, and include graphics and multimedia in the courseware.Create a Pilot version of courseware, the functional prototype for interactive content, and knowledge checks to demonstrate the accessibility, usability, and operability in the SAP Success Factors LMS environment and or FAA Blackboard. It is expected that this prototype will contain enough screens to be representative of all requirements.Create course Walk-thru reports, Pilot Feedback Reports, or eLMS Acceptance Test Reports.Create Final source files for e-Learning products, as well as any custom-coded or scripted assets that will include appropriate coding, scripting comments, and accompanying documentation necessary to describe the design and functionality of all customized features for product maintenance and editing.Ensure that all eLearning courseware is compatible with and functions on the FAA Learning Management System (eLMS).Develop all materials to be compliant with FAA branding policy. • Draft and final lesson plans for the FAA Learning Management System (eLMS).Create Train-the-trainer sessions/course walk-throughs and provide support for the operational tryout.

This position requires involvement with FAA Academy and will work closely with FAA personnel to deliver a quality product.

Basic Qualifications:

2-5 years of Instructional Systems Designer experience in addition to a bachelor’s degree.  Additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range:Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00
