Summary
Responsible for the design, development, deployment and maintenance of web content and multi media objects supporting eLearning solutions. This individual will serve as contact and interface regarding web design and instructional design issues part of a multidisciplinary project team, providing input in determining project scope and design parameters of web based educational resources.

Job DutiesCollaborate with LMS System Admin and distance learning staff to explore new system features/functionality and application of emerging technologies within exisitng environment. Co-develop best practice documentation and recommendations for platform integration. Assist with support for staff training, upon request. Design and produce web content and multimedia design. Assesses the needs and plans for new technology and communicates these to the appropriate personnel or committee. Provides instruction, training and resources in order to facilitate the use of technology in the classroom which will increase student use and knowledge about technology. Develops and performs staff training to ensure use of technology to meet educational goals. Gathers information documenting the effectiveness of the program, interprets this information and provides constructive input in evaluation of the program. Provides training to staff in technology competencies. Gathers information documenting the effectiveness of the program, interprets this information and provides constructive input in evaluation of the program. Investigates and provides input into technology trend analysis, research and applications that enable staff to use technology as a learning tool. Provides resource information relating to new techniques and practices that relate to the use of technology and that enables staff to use technology as a learning tool. Design and coding of web productions and subsequent maintenance of web content. Determine standards and style for design capabilities to ensure a high level of design and coding efficiency consistent with current standards and trends. Liaise with Marketing and Information Services Departments to collaborate on technology usage and design standards. Serve as an interface with instructional designers and other project members.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design Technology, electronic media, computer sciences or related field. 1 year providing onsite assistance to staff in the selection of technology resources and solutions. 3 years related to investigating technologies and instructional practices that relate to the use of technology. Able to adapt and demonstrate role flexibility based upon project needs, team stakeholders and other eLearning resources assigned. Proficient in use of CareWorks to publish and mainatin DoE intranet web pages. Maintains current knowledge of technology and instructional practices that relate to the use of technology. Proficient in the planning, implementation and evaluation of instructional technologies.
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Instructional Technology, electronic media, computer science or related field.
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
