Reporting to the Director of Faculty Development and Support the Instructional Technologist role is focused on enhancing educational experiences through the use of technology. The role primarily involves collaborating with educational staff to design and implement digital learning tools and environments that support the AIUS curriculum.
Principal Duties Responsibilities
Collaborate with subject matter experts and the AIUS instructional designers to design and develop effective digital learning environments and resources.Assist in conducting user acceptance testing and monthly updates for learning management systems (LMS).Provide technical support and training to faculty on the use of instructional technology tools.Evaluate and recommend new technologies that support educational objectives and enhance user engagement.Develop multimedia learning materials, such as video tutorials, interactive modules, and digital graphics.Conduct research on current trends in educational technology and distance education to ensure the adoption of best practices.Develop reports and maintain records on technology usage, user satisfaction, and the impact of technologies on learning outcomes.Lead pilot programs for testing new technologies before wide-scale implementation, evaluating their effectiveness and providing feedback to vendors.Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with new technologies and pedagogical strategies.Serve on internal committees to help shape policies and procedures related to technology use within AIUS.Work with other departments to support a wide range of projects, such as helping the IT department with deploying new software across AIUS.Reporting to the Director of Faculty Development and Support the Instructional Technologist role is focused on enhancing educational experiences through the use of technology.
