Position Summary: Arkansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a 9 or 12 month, full time, tenure or non-tenure track, open rank faculty position in comparative veterinary anatomy (gross and microanatomy). Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This will be a predominantly teaching position (>65% teaching) and will also include research/scholarly activities and service. Teaching of DVM students will be in a competency-based veterinary curriculum incorporating lecture, lab and small group learning. Duties & Responsibilities: + Contribute to competency-based curriculum development with a focus on anatomy + Oversee the procurement, preparation, and disposal of cadavers and other teaching specimens + Oversee anatomy courses and exam schedule · Manage anatomy program support personnel + Develop a scholarly research program and/or collaborate in research endeavors + Contribute to college and university committees and/or serve on regional or national professional organizations + Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty and staff Ability to communicate effectively across CVM stakeholders Ability to prioritize tasks, deliver results in a timely manner and function independently General Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance Other: Please note: all position postings close at 12:00 A.M.
