Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Department: Surgical Services Admin Position is located: Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 40.00 Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Summary: Conduct presentations to large groups of employees. Coordinate program content, facilitate meeting logistics. Responsibilities: + Provides an environment conducive to learning for programs + Coordinates teamwork on planning program improvements as needed + Coordinates program schedules with presenters, staff developers, and Support Staff to schedule rooms, materials, and people. + Ensures content is current including handouts and audiovisuals. + Facilitates the classes and teaches selected content. + Presents content when presenter unable to attend when applicable. + Recommends and implements change in curricula to enhance effectiveness and/or efficiencies. + Maintains facilitator's guide to ensure current processes + Plans and produces the annual Healthcare Office Professional Symposium offered every spring. + Works with Patient Care Administration to determine program budget and education needs of office professional staff. + Schedules rooms, audiovisual equipment, and food for the event. + Enters program into Pathlore. + Works with identified faculty to plan the content and learning methods. + Coordinates handout preparation with faculty and ETC Support Staff. + Promotes the event via , e-mail, internet, etc. + Identifies and hires speakers completing appropriate paperwork as needed. + Provides director and Patient Care Administration with final budget performance and evaluation critique + Coordinates and facilitates programs responsible for: Assists with Cardiology Symposium; BLS classes; Job Shadows; CMA/CNA education programs + Participates in the planning and delivery of other assigned continuing education events. + Participates in any process improvement initiatives as relevant related to Education Services work processes and service areas. + Provide cost effective programming and suggestions for cost savings.
