Job Title: Instructor – Vocational Training

12 months Fixed Term Contract, Part-time, 21 hours per week 

Location: Donemark, Bantry, Co. Cork

 

About the Role: 

As a Vocational Training Instructor, you will guide and support learners with additional needs to develop their skills and confidence. You will deliver training programs, assist learners in setting realistic career and education goals, and help them progress to further education or employment. You will also oversee the day-to-day running of training programs and ensure all activities meet quality standards.

What We’re Looking For: 

Qualifications:

A third-level qualification in Education, Training, Social Sciences, or a related field. A training qualification, such as Train the Trainer (QQI Level 6), as minimum.

Experience:

Previous experience working with learners in education, training, or personal development. Familiarity with QQI certification processes is a plus.

Skills:

Strong presentation and facilitation abilities. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Confidence and initiative to work independently. Ability to motivate learners and build connections with local stakeholders and communities.

Your Responsibilities: 

Training Delivery:

Teach QQI Level 4 modules, ensuring learners gain the skills and knowledge to achieve certification and progress in their careers.

Learner Support:

Help learners explore their goals and create Individual Action Plans tailored to their needs and ambitions. Provide constructive feedback to learners on their progress and help them secure work experience placements.

Program Development:

Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain high-quality training programs. Assist in the creation of innovative curriculum materials in partnership with other staff.

Records and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records and reports to meet internal and external quality standards.

Health and Safety:

Ensure a safe and efficient learning environment by following health and safety procedures.

 

Additional Requirements: 

Full Driving Licence and own means of transport

If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland 

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign.

Salary: Starting at €33263.94 per annum pro-rata equivalent to €17.77 per hour.
