We have 16,000 employees and secure competitive research funding of more than $400 million a year. As a public organization, we provide community outreach and services for Oregon's most vulnerable populations. Function/Duties of Position

This is a remarkable opportunity for an Advanced Practice Professional to join the Bridges Pediatric Palliative Care Team at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. As part of the interdisciplinary team alongside physicians, RNs, chaplains and social workers, the APP will provide excellent clinical care to seriously ill children in the inpatient and outpatient areas. The APP also will have the opportunity to collaborate with other organizations in Oregon to improve the care of children living with life-limiting illness. The APP will work in collaboration with the Medical Director of the Bridges Palliative Care Program, faculty, staff and OHSU leadership to provide service which furthers the University’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

While palliative care experience is strongly preferred, mentorship is available for a dynamic, collaborative advanced practice provider who is eager to learn and has a “hospice heart.”

The APP faculty will have numerous opportunities to become involved in quality improvement work, education, research, and childhood advocacy. Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, the Department of Pediatrics, and the Division of Palliative Care are committed to developing our faculty members’ careers.
