**33667BR** **Extended Job Title:** Instructor or Higher (Psychiatry) **Org Level 1:** Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso **Position Description:** Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit. **Requisition ID:** 33667BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Provides direct patient care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating the full spectrum of mental health conditions using a variety of psychotherapeutic treatment modalities within a multidisciplinary setting + Provides consultation to faculty and learners concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for patients + Provides crisis-intervention support, as needed + Assumes professional responsibility for their clinical assessment findings, patient care decisions, and clinical documentation + Teaches and supervises psychology interns, psychology post-doctoral trainees, residents, fellows, and medical students in both clinical and classroom settings + Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship + Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work + Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission + Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations + Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures + Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L.
