Job Summary
The School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering ( MIME ) invites applications for part-time (varied FTE ), 9-month, fixed term Instructor positions for the 2024-2025 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Head of School.
Instructors may be needed to teach courses in the following areas: computer-aided design, mechanics, design, dynamics, controls, mechatronics, thermal fluid sciences, materials science, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering and aerospace engineering.

Key Responsibilities
100% Teaching and Instruction
+ Instructors may be needed to teach courses in undergraduate and graduate areas.
+ May also be responsible for coordination of or instruction in laboratory settings.
What You Will Need
M.S. or M.A. in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
Teaching experience.
Good written and oral communication skills.
What We Would Like You to Have
Ph.D. in subject/field of instruction.
Teaching experience at the college or university level.
Experience with remote teaching.
Experience with course management tools such as Canvas.
Experience teaching engineering software programs such as MATLAB , SolidWorks, NX, and OnShape.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
May need to teach remotely.

Pay Period 1st through the last day of the month

Recommended Full-Time Salary Range Salary is commensurate with skills, education and experience.
