CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

**Responsibilities**
**Job Summary / Purpose**
The instructor of respiratory therapy has primary responsibilities for teaching classroom and laboratory course and evaluating student achievement. The instructor maintains technical skills and knowledge of current practice. Is a member of the University of Mary academic faculty with professorial rank.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Teach and develop classroom and laboratory courses assigned by the program director; evaluate student achievement.
+ Provide student academic advising.
+ Attend University of Mary faculty workshops, graduation ceremonies, and other academic meetings as requested.
+ Coordinate recruitment activities involving the assignment of students to high school and college classes for publicity and recruitment activities
+ Engage in professional development and scholarly activities
**Qualifications**
+ Master’s Degree or in progress
+ Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care; active license in the state of North Dakota. 2-years full-time experience as an RRT;; 2-years clinical teaching experience in a CoARC accredited respiratory therapy program.
+ Current technical respiratory therapy skills. Curriculum design, development and evaluation skills. Academic advising and student counseling skills. Management and organizational skills. Computer skills (MS Office, Internet, email, clinical tracking and documentation software. Effective oral and written communication skills; effective human interaction skills including the ability to establish respectful, professional, cooperative working relationships with faculty, colleues and college students.
**Pay Range**
$23.22 - $31.92 /hour
