Instrument Assembler

Assemble subassemblies and final assemblies on instrument production lines based on written and detailed work instructions. Label and finalize subassemblies and instruments into finished goods products. Also requires the use of simple hand tools, power tools, or special assembly tools. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: + Work as a team member on an instrument production line + Assemble subassemblies and instruments based on detailed written and visual work instructions + Safety & Quality standards MUST be followed at all times + Must be activate participant in offering suggestions on safety improvements + Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives and Quick Kaizens + Handles, installs, positions, and moves materials, and manipulates parts and/or equipment + Follow and adhere to work instructions precisely + Duties will include assembling products in other areas of the production floor as required by business needs + Identify and record any problems related to the product, process, and quality system + Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels + Keep work areas organized and clean EDUCATION: + High school diploma or its equivalent required. QUALIFICATIONS: + Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. + Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially must be able to interface and communicate with line operators + Good hand-eye coordination + Ensure company policies and safety policies are followed + Work shift will require early morning start and/or overtime as required. This requirement will vary depending on business requirements. Flexibility is required. *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds alone, 80 lbs. with assistance.
