Description:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Performs various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems of the cement plant.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Troubleshoot and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant (i.e. Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers).
+ Schematic reading and instrumentation calibration.
+ Digital and Analog PLC program use in troubleshooting.
+ Low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing and terminating.
+ Basic mechanical activities such as non-critical welding and laser alignment.
+ Perform walk-by inspections and diagnostic checks.
+ Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
+ Other duties, as assigned.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
**Required Education:** High School Diploma/GED
**Additional Education Preferred:** Associates, Technical Degree
**Field of Study Preferred:** Electrical
**Required Work Experience:** 5 years of industrial experience with instrumentation
+ Ability to work independently
+ Mathematical ability
+ High degree of accuracy
+ The ability to operate electrical test equipment
**Required Computer and Software Skills:** General computer proficiency
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
