This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience and be part of a team contributing to the design, startup, and operation of a new plant from the ground up. Initially this position will focus on operation readiness, assisting in the development of instrument PM strategies, and ensuring equipment is properly commissioned. Following startup, the job functions will transition to a more traditional role characterized by normal plant operations. This position reports directly to the I&E Reliability Supervisor. **This position will be assigned to the project location in Orange, TX and will transition to ongoing operations following commissioning and startup with an expected commitment through stable start-up operations.** **\#HPCP** **Responsibilities** + Participate in system completion walkdowns and PSSRs + Develop the inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance methodologies for instrument & Analytical systems ensuring they follow company and industry standards + Provide technical expertise to the Project and Maintenance organizations within the facility on instrument & Analytical systems to ensure that design of equipment and systems meets the intent of corporate and plant design standards + Perform factory acceptance tests and monitor the quality of repaired components at vendor shops. + Lead and participate in equipment failure/incident investigation and provide recommendations for improvement + Network with internal and external resources including vendors and contractors to develop effective solutions to equipment issues + Respond to and provide technical assistance for Instrument & Analytical equipment problems within the facilities + Issue repair reports at the conclusion of critical jobs for proper historical documentation + Assist in the creation and review process of preventative maintenance procedures. **Skills / Abilities** + Working knowledge of Flow, Level, Temperature transmitters and devices. + Experience with Instrument & Analytical preventative maintenance programs. + Experience with Guided Wave Radar level technology. + Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with all teams. + Excellent problem-solving capabilities. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. **Required Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED. + At least 10 years of instrument and analytical experience in operation and maintenance of large industrial plants. + Proficient in using instrument test equipment, ex: meters, calibrators, and scopes. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with SAP S4. + Proficient in the use of Meridium APM. + Experience with Electrical safe work practices (NFPA 70E) + Experience providing field support, and participating in check out, commissioning, and start-up. + Experience utilizing SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation) software.
