Visit https://www.dignityhealth.org/socal/locations/stbernardinemedical for more information. **Responsibilities** Responsible for initial decontamination of instruments post surgical procedure inspection and maintenance of instrumentation packaging for appropriate sterilization process supervision and/or completion of cold disinfecting process. Facilitates instrument purchase under direction of the specialty coordinators; Rotation of sterile instruments in designated storage areas to assure presentation and maximum utilization of items within appropriate shelf life and sterilization date period; Communicating need for upgrading or replacement of instrumentation; Transport of patients delivery of surgical specimens with necessary documentation; Share in responsibility for cleaning documentation and participation in maintenance and spore testing of unit sterilizers and washer sterilizers.
