Instrumentation and Electrical Technician
MAPEI is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join the site maintenance team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This role will support the Polymer plant and other production units by executing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks on instrumentation, controls, electrical, and mechanical systems. The role will also provide expertise for projects, hazard reviews, management of change workflows, and incident investigations.   Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to restore equipment/plant operations. Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and customer requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert on permitting for instrumentation and electrical matters. Create energy control plans, conduct lockout/tagout, and supervise contractors. Plan, schedule, and execute installations, calibration, and validation of instrumentation systems, including control valves, actuators, hard-wired systems, and analyzers. Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/DCS and electrical systems (motors, generators, UPS, etc.). Ensure SIS annual testing requirements are met and evaluate process control logic. Follow safety policies and immediately report safety incidents and near misses. Perform tasks according to the Business Management System (BMS) and comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements. Other duties as required. What's in it for you! Qualifications: HS diploma (or GED equivalent); manufacturing maintenance experience a plus. Proficiency in AC/DC circuits, VFD drives, motor control, and PLC control. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex technical guidelines. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and address electrical and instrumentation issues. Ability to climb, crawl, and work in tight spaces.  Have the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
