Title: Instrumentation & Electrical Technician
Location: Freeport, Texas

Salary: $76,500-$105,000
Schedule: 4-10's

Focus: The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician is responsible for providing daily Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance support to the assigned area. The incumbent will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all types of Instrumentation equipment used in the processes to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Instrumentation and Electrical Technician Essential Job Functions:

Troubleshoots, improves, repairs malfunctions, and documents failure analysis of I&E equipment. Sets up and calibrates, tests, measures, and repairs all types of electrical controls, instruments, and electronic variable.  Actively participates in the implementation of the Maintenance Work Process for I&E work. Updates and follows daily maintenance schedule.  Assists PPM Coordinator and ME role in defining appropriate electrical spare parts needed.  Maintains accurate records including calibrations, electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs. Supports Root Cause Failure Analysis for I&E components.

Instrumentation and Electrical Technician Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must meet one of the following experience and education requirements:    High school diploma plus 5 years of experience as an Instrument or Electrical Technician in an Industrial and/or Chemical Process Environment with Journeyman License, or Associate's of Applied Science Degree* in Instrumentation Technology, Industrial Electricity or related discipline, plus 3+ years related experience. Working knowledge of Heat Tracing Systems, Instrument and Process Controls (Mod5, ABB, DeltaV) preferred; Understanding of U.P.S. and battery systems, high voltage breakers, and distribution systems preferred. Bentley Nevada vibration instrumentation and variable speed drives familiarity preferred.  Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP preferred.  Willingness to make call outs/work overtime per plant needs.  Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
