Instrumentation Control Systems Engineer

At UGL, the Fuels Energy East business is seeking interest from skilled Electrical Instrumentation Engineers to join the Projects team. The role can be based in either Brisbane or Melbourne.

About the role

You will deliver the Instrumentation and Control Systems engineering activities for the various Oil and Gas and Fuel Storage Facilities providing safe, reliable, and efficient technical expertise to the business, in line with industry practices, AS/NZS Standard, client and UGL policies.

The role is based in Brisbane (hybrid) with some travel to project locations required.

About you

To be considered for the role the following qualifications will be highly regarded:

· 5 years’ experience in Instrumentation Control Systems design, engineering, maintenance and/or project implementation and commissioning in the Oil Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries

· Working knowledge of Instrumentation and Control deliverables such as loop drawings, PIDs, wiring diagrams, motor control schematics etc.

· Working knowledge of PLC systems (design, configuration, implementation, and commissioning), preferably Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider and Hima

· Detailed knowledge of Australian codes and standards - Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (Classification and Design) certification – AS/NZS 60079

· Experience and/or exposure to Functional Safety systems

· Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams

· Actively participate in regular learning and development programs to continually enhance and further develop skills
