Instrumentation Electrician

Ventia has an exciting opportunity for experienced and qualified Instrumentation Electricians, this position will be FIFO from Perth with the main shutdown commencing on the 21st March. 

 

21st March – Barrow Island shutdown | Paid inductions and flights from Perth  Fantastic & modern amenities, own room, gym, swimming pool and more  Get involved in future LNG Projects and shutdown opportunities as they arise 

 

Shutdown dates:  

Pre shutdown – Commences on the 21st March (12-hour days) 2/2 Roster  Main shutdown – Commences on the 1st June (12-hour days) 2-3 weeks  Post shutdown works will commence at the completion of the main shutdown (12-hour days) 2/2 Roster 

 

What's on offer: 

Casual Rate $82.80 per hour   Travel allowance $160 per/swing   Paid inductions completed prior to mobilisation   Own room with air-conditioning and foxtel   Amenities – Swimming pools, tennis courts and Gym (Fitness classes)   Get involved in future LNG Projects and shutdown opportunities as they arise  Dive into both preventative and maintenance tasks  

 

About Ventia:  

Ventia is seeking experienced & qualified Electrical and Instrumentation technicians. This casual role will see you working FIFO out of Perth as part of the Barrow Island Turnaround team on Chevron's 2025 turnaround (TAR 112) and as opportunities arise to join future shutdowns, campaign maintenance and frontline teams.   

 

What you’ll need: 

Essential  

Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Instrumentation  WA unrestricted licence  White card   EEHA valid within 3 years  CPR/LVR valid within 1 year  Operate breathing apparatus 

 

Desirable 

Provide first aid   Industry Safety Induction   High Voltage Operation  

 

What you will bring: 

Experience in maintenance and fault finding activities  Knowledge of hydrocarbon production systems and associated hazards  Experience in calibration, isolation and stroking valves    Understanding of gas compression and power generation systems   Experience maintaining and operating critical instrumentation   Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment  Safety – first mindset following safety protocols and hazard procedures
