Instrumentation (lead) Designer

Job Title:
Lead Instrumentation Designer (offshore)

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment of the Client requirements, applicable standards and regulations Preparation of the list of foreseen instrumentation deliverables Provide input to the 3D model and follow through Provide input and coordinate with other disciplines (MDR, planning, process, mechanical, weight control, etc) Coordination with the Client Input to necessary data sheets and requisition packages for new instrumentation components (field instrumentation, valves, DCS, telecoms, F&G etc.) to be procured or modified Review the vendors bids and documentation Cable selection (supported by engineer) Sizing of the main cable trays and penetrations Preparation of:  MTO Block and connection diagram Hookup typicals Cable list  Cable routing Main cable trays and penetrations layout,  F&G detection layout,  Instrumentation equipment layout,  Telecommunication layout,  Block and connection diagrams


Qualifications:

Worked for engineering company for at least 3 years Experienced in greenfield Instrument/ fire detection /telecommunication detailed design  Experienced with offshore platform design Experienced with HV substations design Experience with telecom systems like CCTV, PAGA, Door access control systems, WiFi, Local Area Networks. Proficient in preparing instrumentation detailed design deliverables like: cablelists, instrument/ telecom/ Fire detection block diagrams, instrument/ telecom/ Fire detection layouts, termination diagrams, installation typical hookups, mounting typicals, loop diagrams Familiar with E3D Proficient in Smart Plant instrumentation
