At Labcorp, one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive pharmaceutical solutions service companies, you will have an opportunity to build an exciting career while you make a direct impact on the lives of millions. **We have an excellent career opportunity for an** **Instrumentation Specialist** **to join our growing Discovery Invitro Screening Metabolism team in Madison, WI.** **Position Summary** The Instrumentation Specialist has a focus on supporting and maintaining scientific instruments in analytical labs, validation of new equipment and laboratory software, and the automation of scientific assays across Metabolism Laboratory Operations. **Essential Duties:** + Maintains lab instruments which may include but not limit to Mass Spec, HPLC, GC, and automation equipment, etc. + Performs the automation of assays utilizing the Hamilton robot. + Assesses the feasibility and troubleshoots the automation of assays. + Provides daily operation/method troubleshooting and instrumentation support. + Validates new instruments for operational use in the laboratories. + Writes and revises SOP's and other documents as appropriate. + Participates in monitoring and evaluating new instrumentation and technologies. + Assists team members in software validation lab testing related duties. + Validates and performs change control testing including the design/completion of tests to the software, and documenting results/installations as required by GLPs and/or SOPs. + Trains users in computer systems applications and data analysis/conversion techniques. + Collects, sorts, and assembles data/information from established and non-established sources. + Works with Information Technology to troubleshoot computer systems used in Metabolism. **Education/Experience** + BS/BA degree in science or related field. Experience may be substituted for education. + Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. **Salary** **Range:** $55k - $70k (USD) **Benefits:** All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
