Instrumentation Technicians are responsible for the safe installation, repair and maintenance of measurement equipment and control systems throughout the plant. This is a multi-craft position requiring individuals to be proficient in Instrumentation and functional in the electrical trade.

You will shape the future of the Fernandina Instrumentation Shop by:

Calibrating and repairing instruments and associated equipmentWorking with electronic control systems including microprocessors, sensors, and final control elements used in automated processesExperienced in DCS and PLC control systemsKnowledgeable of automatic valve rigging and change-outMeasuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and analytical processesTesting instrumentation and control systems and maintaining test equipmentCoordinating crew activities as required and maintaining records and filesConsulting manuals, reading and interpreting circuit diagrams, blueprints, and schematicsTroubleshoot and Repair system components or removing and replacing defective partsInstalling control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment

Qualified candidates will bring the following experience and skill sets:

High School Diploma or GEDAssociates degree or certification in instrumentation, engineering tech or related preferredTwo plus years of industrial or manufacturing experience; electrical or mechanical focusedExperience with plant operations, instrumentation, and control systemsComputer program experience preferredStrong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Able to work rotating shifts including some mandatory overtimeRegular and predictable attendance
