Element has an opportunity for an Instrumentation Test Engineer whose primary responsibility is to work with Engineering and Operations in executing test stand development and conduct tests to procedures approved by the customer. This will include analyzing various matrices, installation, servicing & maintenance of sophisticated analytical instruments, and support with scheduling for High Pressure Testing.
Salary: $30- $45/hr DOE
Responsibilities Set up and operate all phases of processing pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies for Space Assemble and test production hardware and their subassemblies by following blueprint and other written and/or verbal specificationsPerform work duties provided by immediate Lead, Supervisor or ManagerClean, assemble and test various valves and filters following written procedures and other appropriate documentationInterpret assembly setup requirements from written procedures and successfully complete assemblyInterpret test system schematics and support the test technicians with sub-assembliesInterpret test setup requirements from written procedures and successfully test componentPerform testing using gases such as Nitrogen, Hydrogen, and heliumPerform testing at ambient temperatures as well as extreme cold and hot temperatures during thermal testingRead and interpret test data and record neatly and accurately on appropriate data sheetsRecognize and report any out-of-family conditions or discrepanciesMaintain a clean and safe work area at all timesMaintain assembly and test setups in good working order Skills / Qualifications LabView Programming experience of 1 year minimum and trouble shootingProficiency in reading P&ID's and supporting EngineeringStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workStrong GD&T skills, and experience creating and reviewing drawingsStrong understanding of fluid systems, tube manufacturing processes, and assembly techniquesExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysisHands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting fluids componentsComfortable working in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment balancing multiple projects with flexibilityAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
