**Job Summary:**
Reporting to a Project Manager/Operations Manager, Insulation Supervisor are generally knowledgeable in the basic materials and basic application skills associated with the three (3) crafts in which they specialize. They have worked in various types of commercial and/or industrial locations. They understand the application techniques and the operation/usage of equipment used in the basic skills. They possess and know how to use the tools associated with their basic skill levels and may spend a portion of their time using their tools. Their responsibility is to oversee all functions related to the projects that are assigned to. They have overall good management skills and specialize in the ability to maintain good in-house and customer relationships and understand the project's financial obligations, the scope of work, and associated estimates. They have knowledge in the Human Resources (HR) and Legal departments, so that situations are handled correctly. They also generally supervise the field and administrative staff so that schedules and company/customer needs are met, including payroll and all reporting. Insulation Supervisor are advanced in company/customer safety policies and procedures, and they enforce them. They also understand their role in the stop work authority when unsafe conditions exist. They may also be the qualified individuals who possess certificates required for certain hazardous material handling or minimal certified applications. Insulation Supervisor supervise small to medium-scale projects of moderate complexity.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Communicate and listen effectively with customers, coworkers, and leadership. Specifically, understanding the customer's needs and communicating with leadership to understand job scope and schedule.
+ Maintain a safe work site, free of safety hazards by monitoring compliance with project safety program requirements.
+ Oversee direct manpower at the job site, always being cognizant of cost and scheduling impacts to ensure the manpower is at a profitable level.
+ Perform administrative duties such as yard and job site inventory, safety meetings, fall plans, hazard analysis, payroll time sheets, equipment rental, return tickets, change orders, time and material tickets, bill of materials, and other site paperwork accurately and neatly.
+ Review and understand the pre-job plan to ensure that the job is built as bid and designed.
+ Make sure that work done out of scope is documented and properly accounted for so that the company may recoup as a change order.
+ Supervise Scaffold crew(s) and perform craft-specific, labor work on an as-needed basis on a project.
+ Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
+ Directly supervises scaffold/insulation craft personnel.
**OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
**Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:**
+ High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent preferred
+ Requires excellent oral skills to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers.
+ Requires strong leadership abilities to inspire and coach employees to accomplish strategic goals and related tasks. This includes abilities that correspond to leadership, such as recruiting, selecting, training, motivating employees, and managing employee performance.
+ Requires the ability to present a clean professional image and to encourage subordinates to do the same.
+ 5 years of Insulation experience in the commercial or industrial markets and at least 2 years of supervisory experience
+ Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
+ Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
+ Apply basic mathematics and solve problems.
