**Job Description** **Position Summary:** Handypersons help and assist mechanics with their key roles and responsibilities. Handypersons are expected to have an intermediary knowledge of key roles and responsibilities as well as functional knowledge specific to their trade. Handypersons must also have demonstrated the ability to perform all tasks of Handyperson (2nd & 3rd), Helper (1st & 2nd) and show a desire to learn new tasks. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** Other Requirements: + Must be able to read, write and comprehend simple instructions + Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form + Must be able to calculate and understand units of measure, including fractions and decimals + Must know how to measure using a scale and tape measure + Must be able to use specified tools required tools as determined by the shop management + Maintain job site cleanliness + Ability to work in confined Space Entry + Able to work at heights (if applicable to trade) + Be able to work off scaffolding (if applicable to trade) + Able to work with hands + Ability to walk, stand, long periods at a time + Able to wear the required PPE + Basic material identification skills + Make measurements to 1/16" using measuring tape or ruler + Basic blueprint reading (Excludes labor shop) + Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution as required + Must be able to obtain government access badge **Pay Information** This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
