The Insurance Accounts Receivable role is a billing staff position with responsibility for specified department duties with ENTAA Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians, LLC.

Essential Functions Include:

Responsible for the accurate processing of insurance claims, including Medicaid/Medicare claims. Issues refunds when appropriate. Collects and enters patient's insurance information into data base when appropriate. Processes insurance correspondence, signature and insurance forms. Follows up with insurance companies and ensures claims are paid by contracted fee schedule. Responds to telephone calls from patients regardin account information Trains personnel new to practice Provides cross coverage

Shift:

Monday-Friday, Day Shift

No weekends

Education/Experience

High school diploma or GED Minimum two (2) years of insurance billing experience in a health care organization Prior knowledge of medical billing/collections practices; basic CPT coding; ICD-10 concepts; and medical terminology Prior knowledge of insurance industry contracts, policies and appeal process Capacity to type 40 wpm Ability to read and understand EOB remittance

Salary Range: Minimum $19.00 per hour - Maximum $25.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
