Working from home or presenting to client families in the field, the licensed Insurance Agent is a self-starter expected to achieve their quota (pacesetter) target by selling pre-need arrangements and services. The Insurance Agent serves families in a professional, caring and timely manner. Follow-up and generation of referrals from client families are integral to success and to establish a strong service relationship with families. The PPA also develops relationships with the community.

We are looking for a competitive Insurance Agent to generate new business by contacting potential customers. You will sell, solicit, differentiate and negotiate insurance plans that match the needs of your assigned or prospective customers’ portfolio.

Daily responsibilities include:

Developing marketing strategies and promote all types of new insurance contracts or suggest additions/changes to existing onesBreeding productive relationships to create a pool of prospective clients from various sources by networking, cold calling, using referrals etc.Evaluating business or individual customers’ needs and financial status and proposing protection plans that meet their criteriaEvaluate business or individual customers’ needs and financial status and propose protection plans that meet their criteriaWork with clients to deliver risk management strategies that fit their risk profilesReport the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholdersMaintain bookkeeping systems, database and recordsMonitor insurance claims to ensure mutual satisfactionAchieve customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives

Requirements and skills:

Proven working experience as an Insurance AgentBasic computer knowledge and statistical analysisProven ability to work with established goalsDemonstrated ability to communicate, present, influence and sell effectivelyExperience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships

Licenses:

Ability to obtain and maintain insurance license as required by state/provinceCurrent state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Experience

Sales or Customer experience preferredPrevious experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) sales systems preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient computer skills including MS office suiteProficient computer skills with CRM and Social Networking Apps preferredProfessional demeanor and communication skillsProfessional attire required when meeting with clients or representing the companyAvailable to work evenings and weekendsStrong phone requirements
